Our (future) Living Quarters

This is our Dining/Livingroom. The Diningroom will be located at the far end of the room in this picture. You'll note the lovely wood wainscoting around the whole room - that will either be painted a light colour, or a dark brown (our professional painter advisor tells us that because the carpet is light and the top will be light, it won't make the room look darker or smaller. The top will be painted a cream with a brown tint. (As will the entry way on the right of the picture - that's real deal ugly wood paneling. Ick.)This is the livingroom end of the room. We're not sure if we'll be painting all the wood above the fireplace yet, or what colour it will be done if we do it.
Looking down the stairs into the rest of our living area. Straight ahead is our (small) bedroom. (And looking at Rachel. You can't see it very well, but she's got a very cute baby belly growing.)
Our tiny kitchen. There wasn't much use in turning around and taking another picture, because that's really all that's there. That's the kitchen. We think we're more than willing to give up cupboard space to put in a dishwasher, though - once there's dishes on the counter, there's no room to cook anything!
This is Brian's office / laundry room. I'm not exactly sure how he's going to make it all work, but I have faith in him.

Thanks for showing the pictures! I think that you'll be able to make it look very nice! Is it bigger than Marya and Eric's first apartment? As for Brian's office--I really like the floor there! I hope you are not going to cover it up!
Is there any attic space where you can store stuff?

Is the house vacant right now? Are the appliances staying?

Yes. It is definately bigger then our first apartment. I (purposely) forgot about it! Hunh. Is Brian in danger of hitting his head on the ceiling too??

No, I don't think there will be any head hitting (at least by us!) in this apartment. There is no attic storage space, so if we do need extra room, we'll just "rent" storage space in Bun & Kenny's basement... No, it's not vacant right now. Yes, the appliances (all of them) come with the apartment.
As for B's work space, all of the stuff at the end of the room will be torn out, and he'll build a desk and shelving into the walls - it'll be cosey, but it should work out alright.
We have tenants arranged, so that's exciting! So, if you want the grand tour around the whole house, you'll have to come by and visit between July 15th and July 31st - they're moving in on the first of August. yay!

Jenn, how exciting! It looks like a totally awesome basement apartment. I think that you two will make it look really cosy.
Nice that you have tenants. It looks like you feel good about them, too. I remember that on Birmingham st it was so important to me that we felt good about who was also living in our house.
Are you moving in August, too?
